2023 Peter Nagyváradi Blaufränkisch 'Monoslou,' Balaton, Hungary

Monoslou is a single-varietal Blaufränkisch, in Hungary the grape variety is known as Kékfrankos. The grapes come from the single vineyard Monoszló, grown on limestone soils, which are carefully cultivated by Peter by hand and using organic practices. Monoslou 2023 is fermented in Maceration Carbonique, which ensures plenty of fruit and juiciness. A natural wine with great juiciness and perfect tannins, silky, elegant and finely balanced. A very exciting wine from Hungary. Then matured for 11 months in used Austrian 500-liter barrels. Drink slightly chilled. Like all natural wines from Peter Nagyváradi, unfiltered and bottled without sulphur.
